Swimmers capture BU’s
first-ever Division 1 title

The Binghamton men's swimming and diving team capped its 2002-03 season Sunday, winning the America East Championship and becoming the first Binghamton team to win a Division I conference title. Led by the meet's most outstanding swimmer Chris McGuire, the men totalled 771 points to outdistance Boston (678) and the rest of the six-team field in the University of Maine's Stanley M. Wallace pool. Head coach Benji DeMotte, in his second year in Division 1, was named coach of the year on the men's side.
