| From artwork to sophisticated science research in DNA binding and electronics packaging, the 11th annual Honors Day will showcase the talents of some of the Universitys best undergraduates. The program, which is open to the campus, will begin with an Undergraduate Showcase featuring the work of more than 30 students from 3 to 4 p.m. in UU-Mandela Room. The projects cover a range of student research on such topics as biofilms, nanofibers, cardiovascular health in women, jury selection, positive body images of older women and DNA binding in human cells, as well as artistic endeavors in drawing and sculpture. The awards ceremony will follow from 2 to 5 p.m. Among those being recognized are the University Student Excellence Award winners from every school, Foundation Award winners, Whos Who in American Colleges and Universities students, honor society representatives and Student Employee of the Year winners.
